The students of Classes 8-12 of Indus Valley World School celebrated World Music Day on 21 June 2019. The students of Class 12 explored different genres of music through an Ode to the Monsoon. Tamojit Sarkar and Digantika Saha presented a ghazal and a kajri respectively and then the Senior School Band enthralled the audience by a mashup of songs and beats that truly was global in nature. The assembly concluded with a spontaneous rendition of the Rabindrasangeet Akash Bhora Surjyo Tara’ by the teachers after our Director addressed the students about the importance of music pervading every corner of our lives.
