The Mini Sports Day for Grades I and II at Indus Valley World School, held on February 8th, 2025, successfully integrated physical activities with education about SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy). The event began with a welcome from Headmistress Ms. Deborina Roy and was honoured by the presence of Ms. Christina Caroline Carrau (Headmistress of Ashok Hall Group of schools), alongside Principal Ms. Reshma Bhattacharya and Vice Principal Ms. Madhumita Seal. The day’s activities commenced with a yoga drill by Grade II focusing on mindfulness, followed by specially designed novelty races such as “Go Solar” ,”Power- Free Fun Time”,and “Sorting of Dry and Wet Waste” by Grade I. A beautiful flower drill display was also performed by Grade I. Grade II participated in various races, all emphasizing themes of energy conservation and sustainable practices. The event included a parent tug-of-war competition and concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, successfully combining sports, environmental consciousness, and educational value to inspire students toward sustainable living practices.
