Lataguri Trip

10th April 2025

Ninth and eleventh grade students from Indus Valley World School set off on an unforgettable three-day trip to Lataguri from 17th to 20th March. On the first day, the students travelled to the location and made their way to the cozy accommodations. In the evening they engaged in an energetic football match while soaking in the lush natural surroundings of the resort.
On the second day the adventure continued with a visit to the Murti river where students waded through the refreshing waters, creating joyful memories. The students then enjoyed an exhilarating safari in Gorumara Forest where they could spot a majestic crash of rhinos from the watchtower . Another charming aspect of the day was the bullock cart ride through the vivid scenery. The day came to an end as students joined together in a lively tribal dance, their steps creating a shared moment of joy and connection.
The third day unfolded with an unexpected encounter—an old handicraft seller at the resort, her creations whispering tales of tradition. Students wandered through the misty hills of Bindu, Samsing, and Jhalong, where vibrant markets brimmed with Bhutanese treasures. A river called to us, its waters mirroring the sky. By Jaldhaka’s serene bed, the students had their lunch amid nature’s masterpiece. As night fell, flames crackled, music soared, and under the starry sky, the students danced—wild, free, and alive.
