On 18th May 2023, Indus Valley World School conducted its investiture ceremony for the academic year, 2023-2024. At the outset of the programme there was a lamp lighting and prayer song followed by the address of Ms. Amita Prasad, the director of the school. She underscored the solemnity of the occasion when she said “The students who will be invested today have a quality that sets them apart — the quality to lead. Leadership is not about power; only people who serve can be good leaders.” The invested student leaders were Ishir Narayan (School captain), Utsa Ray (School vice-captain), Kashvi Ray (Captain co-curricular activities ), Sanchi Tiwary (Vice -captain of co-curricular activities) Prajit Bose (Sports captain) and S. Shree Ganesan (Sports vice-captain). The students appointed as the four house captains and vice captains respectively were Krishna Keshab Banik and Ryan Roy (Brahmaputra), Krishaa Nema and Parnika Dutta (Ganga), Toshan Chakraborty and Zayan Qaiser (Indus) and Aradhita Ray and Utsa Ray (Yamuna). They were badged by the Principal Ms. Reshma Bhattacharya and the Vice-Principal Ms. Priyadarshinee Guha. The students were administered the pledge by the Principal. The programme ended with a student’s prayer being read out by Madhupee Bhaumik of Grade XI which was followed by the School Song and the National Anthem.
