A bittersweet moment ensued on the 10th of April 2025 as Indus Valley World School readied itself to bid farewell to the Batch of ’25 (Grade 12), with a lump in their throats and smiles on their lips. While a bouquet of heart-felt performances ensured that the graduating 12th graders were celebrated to the fullest, their emotional farewell proved how far they had come and all the bright endeavours that beckon their shimmering future. The event commenced with our principal Mrs. Reshma Bhattacharya addressing the outgoing batch, reminiscing about their journey in school and speaking about the paths they are yet to forge in the future.
This was followed by a riveting performance by the talented singers that call IVWS home who delved into the nostalgic tunes of ‘Abhi Na Jao Chhor Kar’ and modern beats of ‘Sau Asmaan’. The juniors made an effort to make the seniors reminisce their school life through a video that served as a trip down memory lane and they undertook efforts to organize a fashion show and award show. The seniors were awarded paper crowns for winning in categories such as ‘Teachers’ Favourite’, and the seniors set the stage ablaze with their fashionable outfits during the fashion show.
The final performances of the farewell were exhilarating dances put up by the juniors with the seniors joining them on the dance floor. For the graduating seniors, their farewell will definitely be a day to remember as they step into the world of higher education and navigate a new chapter in the book of their lives. Our Vice Principal Mrs. Madhumita Seal also shared a few words of wisdom and encouragement, about stepping into the real world away from the comforting shelter of school and friends, and wishing this new chapter the best. The seniors finally departed in a joyful yet nostalgic and melancholic note as they graduated from their second home.
