On the momentous occasion of India’s 76th Republic Day, Indus Valley World School orchestrated a profound commemoration that beautifully intertwined ceremonial traditions with deep philosophical reflections on national values. The morning commenced with a dignified flag hoisting ceremony led by the school’s distinguished leadership, including CEO Mr. S.L. Gupta, Principal Ms. Reshma Bhattacharya, Vice-Principal and Administrator Mrs. Madhumita Seal, accompanied by the entire administrative team, teaching faculty, and student council. The national flag was ceremoniously unfurled by Mr. Gupta, Ms. Bhattacharya, Mrs. Seal, and the school’s Captain Jyotiraditya, followed by the resonant rendition of the national anthem that stirred patriotic sentiments.
The subsequent on stage event began with Principal Reshma Bhattacharya Ma’am’s welcome address that not only highlighted the significance of the day but called forth to the youth to remember their duty towards the nation. The student performance was a remarkable testament to the invaluable tenets of the Indian Constitution, artfully exploring the fundamental principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Through their presentation, the students passionately articulated the critical role of youth in addressing and eradicating societal challenges. They emphasized a collective resolve to dismantle systemic inequities, combat social discrimination, promote inclusive development, and dedicate their lives to the nation’s comprehensive upliftment. The performance was a powerful narrative of hope, highlighting how the younger generation can be transformative agents who translate constitutional ideals into tangible social progress.
This programme was the culmination of the two-day workshop “Our Voices, Our Stories,” masterfully curated by Ms. Sohini Das Hartmann, an exceptional educator, youth mentor, and cultural innovator. The workshop provided a profound platform for students to explore self-discovery, personal empowerment, and their potential to drive meaningful societal change.
The trainers and the team were duly felicitated on stage, and the artwork of the students across all levels were displayed both inside the auditorium and the foyer. Lastly, all parents, teacher trainers, students, and the admin team gathered for a team photograph.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Vice-Principal and Administrator Ms. Madhumita Seal.
