World Heritage Day

24th April 2019

The Indus Valley World School commemorated World Heritage Day on 18 April 2019 with an aim to raise awareness among the students about the diversity of cultural heritage across the world. The Director, Mrs.Amita Prasad spoke to the students about the meaning of ‘heritage’ and sensitized them about the importance of material and non material heritage. Two inter-house quizzes were conducted by the Dean-Arts for Classes IV, V and VI and Classes VII, VIII and IX in the school auditorium. There were three participants representing each house. Each quiz had four interesting rounds which included questions on places of worship, world heritage monuments, endangered species, Indian textiles, food and audio rounds. The students enjoyed working out the answers to the questions and there was tremendous audience participation. It was definitely a very informative and knowledge enriching experience for the students and teachers alike.
