This performing art has aesthetic and symbolic value. The repertoire of movements expresses the inexplicable and lends voice to the speechless. October 5, saw a different morning at Indus Valley World. The entire ambience had suddenly become vibrant and exuberating. Participants from over 9 schools dressed in their respective costumes arrived to be a part of this event, keeping true to the spirit of competition.
This 1-day extravaganza saw some splendid performances in all three categories namely- Jhanak (Classical dance), Step – Up (Western Dance) and Vibes (Contemporary dance). Contestants from V through XII left eminent judges like Guru Praveena Kutty and Smt. Sasawati Mukherjee spell bound with their exceptional performances.
Participants performed on some rare music pieces which left the audience in awe of the research they must have done to put up that fantastic a show. From performing on EDM to narration, they had tried out most unique possibilities.
After sixty-five enthralling performances in the course of the day Indus Valley World School almost throbbed with life. All the excitement found an apt culmination in the prize distribution ceremony that concluded the event. Dance-piration, the Chapter 3 of Awakening 2K18 was truly breath-taking.
