January 26, 2018- IVWS celebrated the 68th Republic Day with much honour. The programme commenced with the unfurling of the tricolour followed by the national anthem.
Students from class VII and VIII delivered a discourse on this occasion, which included a brief history of our constitution and its workings. Next in line were two group songs by students from classes VII-IX.
The final act was a musical theatre- ‘Aazadi Ke Iss Paar’ performed by students from VIII and IX. Loosely based on the poem ‘Mein Bharat Ka Samvidhan Huin’ penned by Dr. Hari Om Pawar, the act dealt with the current burning social issues which are the result of misinterpreting and misusing the liberty that the Constitution of India guarantees its citizens. The act and the performances of students won extensive audience accolade-evident through the thundering applause that resonated in the auditorium for a good while.
