The much-awaited segment of the evening, Ramayana, opened with a profusion of colours, rhyme and rhythm. The bubbling tiny tots, well organized and deftly trained by their dedicated teachers, took the stage with confidence and enacted their parts with diligence. The narration and dialogues in immaculate Hindi with appropriate stage decoration created an aura of brilliance, transporting the audience to the world of the epic. The poise and dignity of every tiny actor, particularly that of little Sita need special mention. The dancers in their splendid costumes brought a riot of colours and grace on the stage especially those of the forest scenes. The mellifluous songs, the background music, the pictures on the giant screen and the detailed props prepared by the teachers, blended perfectly with the sublime theme. The grand Diwali celebration at the end by a joyous group well-established the message of victory of good over evil.
