On February 8, 2025, four Grade 8 students – Prisha Moitra, Akash Roychowdhury, Rajanna Poddar, and Reyansh Das – attended a poet workshop led by two youth U.S. Poet Laureates, Staphenie Pacheco and Kashvi Ramani, at the Kolkata Book Fair. The workshop aimed to inspire students to explore their creativity and develop their writing skills through interactive exercises, discussions, and writing activities.

Highlights included poetry readings, an imagery exercise where students described personal experiences using vivid imagery, and a writing workshop where students shared their poems and received feedback. Students praised the workshop, citing the interactive exercises and the inspiring presence of the poet laureates, and expressed a newfound appreciation for poetry and a desire to continue writing.
