VAN MAHOTSAV CELEBRATIONS

08th July 2024

The students of the Junior School from Grades 1-5 celebrated ‘Van Mahotsav ‘ through a plethora of activities that taught them the necessity to conserve forests. Grades 1 and 2 worked on designing artwork and learned about birds and their natural habitat. They visited the open grounds near the school and planted saplings which they committed to look after in the days to come.

As part of their club activities, the students of the Nature, Music, Dance, and Art clubs presented a special assembly on the importance of the conservation of forests and spoke about the different creatures facing extinction because of excessive deforestation. The condition of the hornbill birds was highlighted to create awareness among the students. The nest of the hornbill bird was made out of fallen leaves collected from our school grounds.

The Quiz club students participated in a quiz based on the conservation of forests while the Literary club students made a presentation based on the different Heritage trees around the world. The Cookery Club students of Grade 5 created displays based on the animals and trees.
