Indus Valley World School hosted its maiden Literary Fest, “Lit-A-Thon – a Magical Literary Ride” on 19th September for the students of Classes III to IX.
On Day 1 the students participated in innovatively designed sessions with writers and speakers from diverse fields and engaged in activities designed to help them discover the pleasures of reading and creative writing. There were author sessions with Dr. Madhurima Vidyarthi, Ms. Anjana Basu, Mr. Joydip Kundu, Ms. Dipanwita Roy, Ms. Aparna Ganguli, and Mr. Rajshekhar Aich. A creative writing workshop was organised with author/translator Ms. Jashodhara Chakraborti and a graphic novel illustration workshop with Dr. Sanjoy Basu. A delightful morning ensued as wonderful ideas were thrown up by the students and they were encouraged to read more and engage in extending their imagination beyond horizons. Some glimpses…
