Diwali represents the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. The festival of Diwali provides rich opportunities to engage students with literary epics, dramatic performances and celebrations of family. On 25 October, children of the Pre-Primary Section came dressed in their colourful ethnic wear to celebrate the festival of lights. The day started off with a story-telling session by the class teachers. The legend of Prince Rama and his quest to rescue his wife Sita from the demon King Ravana was brought to life by the children in a fun-filled role-playing activity. This was followed by a session of craft activity. The children of different levels painted and decorated diyas and paper lanterns and made beautiful bandhanwars, that were put on display in the Diwali corner along with a beautiful rangoli made by the teacher.
