Shaastra Spark 2020 is a National level Inter-school Quiz competition conducted as part of Shaastra 2020, the technical Festival of IIT Madras. This year Indus Valley world school hosted the prelims of this great event on behalf of IIT Madras for the East Zone schools. Calcutta International school, Kalyani Public School, KV Garden Reach, BDM International and Indus Valley world School were the participating schools for the day. Best quizzers from these reputed schools of the city battled it out on 13th July 2019 at IVWS Auditorium in presence of IIT Madras Spark 2020 officials. After a closely fought out prelims, team from Calcutta International school became the winners while team IVWS comprising of Saumyajeet and Srishti Chaurasia of Grade XII became the Runners Up of the event. Our team performed well giving other teams a tough fight. Above all the experience was extremely enriching.

Principal Ms Anita George gave away the Winner and Runners Up trophy and the certificate of participation to the rest of the schools.
