IVWS Wins CBSE National Level Essay Competition

Samriddhi Kar of Grade III C and Janhavi Sathe of Grade X B from Indus Valley World School win 2016 NATIONAL LEVEL Essay Writing Competition for Students organised by CBSE along with Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India
The competition was organised on the ocassion of 67th Republic Day between 10th to 16th January 2016 Janhavi Sathe is one of the 25 winners in Category III : Classes 1X-XII. Samriddhi Kar won in Category I : Classes I-IV
Objective of the competition was to encourage students to :

  • Find out more about the Indian Constitution and its history
  • Explore and understand why the Constitution is important
  • Recognise the two important concepts of government and good leadership
  • learn how the government proetcts their rights and promotes their welfare
  • learn to analyse the righst and duties of elected leaders and citizens
  • Explore the role of the media
