Heads Of Schools Felicitated On United Nations Day

On the occasion of the United Nations Day Celebrations, West Bengal Federation Of United Nations Associations organized a seminar based on the theme –‘UN needs reforms to meet the challenges of the 21st century,’ on Thursday,24th October, 2017 at ICCR Kolkata. The seminar was inaugurated by His Excellency, the Governor of West Bengal and was attended by some Heads of Schools, teachers and students besides other dignitaries. The keynote address was delivered by the former Foreign Secretary, Mr Krishna Menon. Some of the eminent speakers were – the Consul Generals of Japan, France, Russia and China and all of them spoke of the urgent need to reform the U.N.

Before the discussion was thrown open to the students and teachers, a few Heads of Schools were honoured and felicitated. The Governor handed over certificates and mementos to them for their contribution in the field of Education. The Director of IVWS , Mr. Joseph Mathew was one of those few Heads who were felicitated. It was indeed an enriching seminar for all those who attended it.
